Knee Endoscopy Procedure

In this video you can see amazing endoscopy technology being used in a knee procedure performed just outside Cape Town by these skilled doctors.

The patient’s knee is being fixed by the doctor only making two incisions where the high-tech camera and tool penetrate to clean up the knee. This technology allows for high definition image management that puts the doctor in complete control of what is happening inside. The doctor can oversee the entire procedure by just looking on the screen that links up with what he’s doing inside the patient.

Lipton Cup

Lipton Cup 2017 Branding

It is in the month of August that the esteemed and established Lipton Cup takes up the sails again. The Royal Cape Yacht Club hosts this event in the windy waters of Cape Town as they were the proud winners of last year’s event. We were asked to design the brochure, the poster and the trophies for the event, which you can see below. Our designs had to fit in with the current branding of this year’s Lipton Cup event as seen on the official website and keep the look and feel between the different items.

Graphic Design is a important tool in our arsenal to help market and brand such events.

CY market 2016, Durbanville

CY Market 2016 at Meerendal

Another year has flown by and the CY Market 2016 team has outdone themselves this time around with an outstanding market. This year they have moved the venue to the esteemed Meerendal Wine farm on the outskirts of Durbanville, Western Cape. Marketing videos like this can really help to convey to the viewer how it must have been to be there.

There were items for sale and things to do for everyone. Yes, even the men! Ranging from clothing, décor, accessories, furniture to the most delicious food items for the whole family. The market has grown exponentially in size this year, and the Meerendal Wine Farm farm could cater for everyone, with enough space and views of the surrounding country side to add to the ambiance.

Unique temptations for the taste buds at this year’s CY Market were, gourmet ice cream, Durbanville distilled rum, vodka and gin, craft beers, wines from Durbanville, smoked olives, baked goods, and an assortment of food stalls catering to all the hungry (and thirsty!) shoppers.

I can keep on telling you about CY Market 2016 or you can see for yourself. Have a look and see you there next year!

Pop-up dinner

Pop-up – Christmas in July

Christmas arrived early this year in the form of a Pop-up dinner evening – and what a beautiful evening it was. The evening was filled with superb wines, excellent food, good laughs and ambiance. The reason for this winter gathering was another exclusive pop-up event by The Pot and Spoon in coordination with Braai Country.

The Pop-up evening was hosted by winemaker Dirk Roos on the rustic Mooiplaas wine estate. The guests were welcomed by some mulled wine in the tasting room and led to the long table in the historical manor house where Chef Jaco’s six course dinner was served and paired with the farm’s excellent Mooiplaas wines.

It was an evening for the books and one that all the guests will surely remember. I had the privilege to attend and capture this memorable event and even sneak taste some of the food from the kitchen. What a bargain. Be sure to look out for the next Pop-up event by following Chef Jaco from the Pot and Spoon and Braai Country on Facebook.
