Rikki & Caley special day

Herewith a little preview to showcase a very special day in the lives of Rikki and Caley. You can see for yourself that it was a day filled with fun and laughter and it can be attributed to the sparkling personality of these two people and the warmth of their friends and family. Special thanks to Yolande from YSP, whom I helped out, for this opportunity.

Nikkah – the uniting

Here’s a few of the wedding photographs that was captured whilst second shooting for Picturess during the Nikkah ceremony and the groom getting ready on a beautiful Cape Town spring day.

It was a wonderful experience to share this part of the special day with the family and friends and capture these moments with them at the house and the mosque.

Wedding Video – Omar & Katherine

Sometimes the most wonderful things happen unexpectedly. The wedding video we did for this couple was a last minute booking, but looking at how the footage turned out, it must have been meant to be.
Katherine and Omar got married at the magnificent Cavalli Estate near Stellenbosch. This venue provided all the ingredients to create the magical backdrop for their perfect wedding; a luxury restaurant, the stillness of the wine lands and a vast lawn where the guests mingled and relaxed.

When we were filming this beautiful couple during the sunset, everything just fell into place. The light, the mood, the landscape, it was all brought together by this profoundly inspiring love.

Thanks to Willem Foster who helped film this event.

Shameeg & Ni’shaat’s Wedding

Once upon a time there was a princess so beautiful, and adored by a handsome prince who asked her to marry him. They had a dream wedding on a sun filled day and shared their happiness with family, friends and some very cute and beautifully dressed up children. Believe it or not, we were there to capture every moment of this fairy tale wedding. Inspired by the natural grace of the couple in front of the camera, we whisked them off to different locations to show the radiance that only a newly-wed couple knows. Have a look and you’ll see what we mean.

Special thanks to Yolande Kotze from YSP who did the second shooting.

The creative team of Yellow Papaya invited us to participate in their Lifestyle shoot. The shoot with the theme ‘Country wedding’ was made possible by the collaboration a vast team of service providers, ranging from artisan cold meats, organic veggies, jewellery and flowers to handcrafted ceramics.

All the elements for this shoot were sourced from local suppliers. It was such a pleasure to see how everything came together on the day. The atmosphere was relaxed, the romantic scenery perfect for the theme and somehow none of us really felt like we were working.

Have a look at the original blog post where you’ll find the stunning photographs that were taken on the day.

Nectar and Melody

Nectar and Melody – Wedding Video

Nectar and Melody, the happy, but also very lucky couple! They won the Tygervalley Bridal Expo competition which entitled them to free packages from some of the best service providers in the industry. Kronenburg Estate was the stunning venue for the ceremony and we were there to capture Melody and Nectar’s vows. It was great fun working with this radiant couple and the result is a romantic, heartwarming wedding video. Here’s the trailer!

Surene & Thinus’ Wedding

Thinus and Surene decided to have their special day at the Southern tip of Africa. It was an afternoon filled with dramatic skies and the scene of the intimate wedding ceremony took place at the Aghullas Nature Reserve beach, right at the water’s edge. A beautiful ceremony was followed by refreshments on the sand and there were abundant opportunities to get beautiful shots of the happy couple on the secluded stretches of sand and dunes. The reception was held at an exclusive beach house in Struisbaai. It was an evening filled with jokes and laughter and an impressive spit braai. As always, it was a great pleasure and privilege to work with Yolande Snyders from YSP. We both had a wonderful time with this lovely and easy-going couple.

Cape Town Groom Shoot

A beautiful bride, an abundance of flowers, an idyllic wine farm – we’re all very familiar with this picture. This time we decided to cover a different angle and got up close and personal with the modern urban groom. Have a peak at how this contemporary gentleman gets ready for the big event. Because it’s not just the bride that takes pride in her appearance!  This exciting day was organised by Yolande Snyders from YSP who took the beautifull pictures below our video and the styling was done by Simone from  Yellow Papaya. We also want to thank Bloke’s Hair, Milame Handmade Design and Second Time Around for their support with the shoot. Watch the video and see for yourself!

Sazi & Khulile’s Wedding

Location: East London – The start of the Wild Coast. The Scene: A warm summers day. The reason: The wedding of  Sazi & Khulile. I had the privilege to second shoot their wedding with YSP and we had a great trip and shared a great wedding with this couple.

Roelien & Jaco’s Wedding

I recently had the privilege to second shoot with Yolande Snyders (YSP) the wonderful wedding of Jaco and Rolien. It was held at the Lagoon Beach Hotel in Milnerton. Earlier on we all thought that the weather was not going to turn out well, but fortunately the weatherman was on our side and it turned out perfectly for their special day. A big thank you to YSP and the happy couple for a special and fun day of shooting!
